Welcome to the Eaton Elementary PTA!

The central function of the Eaton Parent Teacher Association is to build and strengthen the relationship between parents, teachers and staff, with the goal of providing our children with the best education possible. The PTA sponsors a wide variety of programs and projects that seek to fulfill its stated mission. Once our annual fundraising goals are met, we will be able to:Eaton Elementary PTA

  • Pay for the fourth grade field trip to Raleigh
  • Hold an annual Spelling Bee for third through fifth grades
  • Host the Annual Talent Show
  • Advise parents about volunteer opportunities through the annual Volunteer Information Breakfast
  • Sponsor Staff Appreciation Week
  • Pay for cultural arts performances for the entire student body
  • Run an annual Fall Festival providing families the opportunity to play games, enjoy food, win prizes, and have fun
  • Host an annual Holiday Bazaar
  • Recognize participants in the Science Fair with ribbons and trophies
  • Sponsor a Book Fair to raise money for the purchase of books and equipment for the Media Center
  • Provide funds to help with the maintenance and beautification of
  • Host two, very popular breakfasts: Donuts with Dad and Muffins with Mom
  • Produce the bi-monthly Olympiad newsletter to keep parents and staff informed about school events
  • Sponsor the Reflections Program, providing students with an opportunity to express their creativity and gain recognition for their artistic efforts
  • Run the Take a Break and Read Program which provides every student in the school with a book free of charge
  • Organize PTA Fun Nights throughout the year-such as BINGO for students and their families to enjoy
  • Recognize teachers and staff members on their birthdays and holidays
  • Maintain a database of volunteers, match them to specific needs, track the time that they give, and honor their efforts during the Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast
  • Print T-shirts, caps, and other items to foster school spirit
  • Provide Students with the opportunity to purchase professionally designed yearbooks
  • Provide all classroom teachers with grant money, on an annual basis, to purchase educational items
  • Publish the complimentary Phone-A-Friend Directory
  • Sponsor the Fifth Grade Social
  • Pay for a welcome breakfast and an end-of-the-year appreciation dinner for the entire staff
  • Provide funding for the Best Foot Forward Program
  • Maintain a bulletin board in the school lobby
  • Give funds to the school counselor for the purchase of materials to be used by the entire student body
  • Provide families with the PTA Information Packet and annual Calendar & Handbook, free of charge
